I’m sure most of you noticed the abundance of boats around Mountain Home last week. We were thrilled to have 324 fishermen in our community. As we visited with our guests, they shared how much they enjoyed our town and the beautiful area we call home. Thank you for showing them hospitality as they shopped at our stores, dined at our restaurants and stayed in our hotels and resorts. Even as we battled the colder temperature, we had a successful fishing tournament. We once again want to extend a big thank you to101 Boat Dock for the launch and weigh in accommodations, the City of Mountain Home, The Mountain Home A&P Commission, Nabatak, Inc., BASS Nation, ASUMH and our volunteers that helped make the tournament possible. Congratulations to Brett and Beua Govreau for winning the team tournament and Ryan Butler for winning the individual Fish-Off and securing a spot in the Bassmaster Classic in South Carolina, March 2018.

This week our Leadership Mountain Home class will be learning about our local Civic and Non-profit organizations. We will be visiting the Food Bank, Serenity, The Call and The Twin Lakes Literacy Council. The Humane Society, Rotary, Elks and Kindness, Inc. will also share their missions with the group.
