Can you believe how many events have been happening in our community this summer?  And, we still have several more to come.

Did you notice all of thebuses and out of town license plates a couple of weeks ago?  The people in those vehicles were here to watchthe Babe Ruth Southwest Regional Softball Tournament.

Immediately following the softball tournament was another big event for the area.  The 2018 U.S. Amateur Qualifying Golf Tournament was held at Big Creek Golf & Country Club.  This event brought dozens of the top golfers from eight states and two countries to our community.

Did you get a chance to visit the Regional Airport and enjoy the static display of antique and modern aircraft?

What about festivals?  My gosh the festivals!  There were 4th of July fireworks displays all over the area.  Cotter heldits annual Trout Festival and Gassville held their annual Gassville In the Park Festival.

What about the granddaddyof festivals, the Red, White and Blue Festival? Thousands of people gathered onthe campus of ASU Mountain Home to enjoy the food, music, fun and activities…not to mention what may very well the best fireworks display in the entire state.

Pretty exciting stuff, especially when you know summer isn’t over yet. We can’t wait to welcome back the Babe Ruth World Series.  That’s right. They will be back next month and will provide us with several day’s worth of some of the best baseball competition you will ever witness.

Don’t forget there is also Friday Night Block Party on the Square, the Global Leadership Summit, the EighthAnnual Pink for Peitz Rodeo, the 2018 Women’s Expo and The Gem Mineral andFossil Show, all around the corner as well.

I’m sure we have probably missed a few events but we think you get our point.  We are so very fortunate to live in such adynamic and active community.
