Bass Fishing..Bass Boats...BassMasters - We know BASS in Mountain Home

From bass fishing in Arkansas to bass boat manufacturing, in Mountain Home, fishing is just a part of the culture. Local residents enjoy their early mornings or evenings on the lake, and they know all the sweet spots where the fish are sure to bite. Between Bull Shoals fishing and Norfork fishing, bass anglers rarely leave without a catch. In fact, the bass here are so plentiful that three well-established leading fiberglass bass boat manufacturers are headquartered here, providing vessels sold across the globe.  Many boats, however, and built and sold right here in the region and end up in our local waters.

Ranger boats are manufactured in Flippin, Arkansas, a mere 20 minutes from Mountain Home. Bass Cat and Legend Bass fishing boats are also handcrafted here, both made in Midway, Arkansas. Shawnee Supreme Boats, a specialists in fiberglass river boats, is also headquartered near Mountain Home.  So, if it's bass fishing that you love, and it's a boat that you need, Mountain Home is the perfect landing place!

The area has become famous for its fishing, and that didn't go unnoticed by a certain national fishing organization. Bassmaster pinpointed Mountain Home and Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes a few years ago to host their Elite Series Bassmaster Tournament.  After months of planning, organizing, and advertising, the Bassmaster Elite Tournament will be here THIS WEEK.  Thursday - Sunday, April 21-24, Mountain Home will host the most elite and well-known bass anglers in the world.  We are so proud to host this tournament, and this unique group of professional fishermen, and we are especially proud to be the first Bassmaster tournament held on two lakes!  They couldn't pick just one...Bull Shoals Lake and Norfork they're fishing both! The breathtaking lakes are similar in landscape, with long, wide coves and channels and beautiful Ozark horizons in the distance.  Enjoy all those lake activities you love, like wakeboarding, water skiing, water tubing, swimming, scuba diving, and of course, fishing! There are plenty of marinas offering boat and equipment rental, and the Corps of Engineers campgrounds and boat launches are available for easy access. The lake level fluctuates based on rainfall, but is rarely inaccessible. Daily water levels are easily found on the Corps of engineers website.
