We apologize to our readers for missing last weeks Chamber Chat. We were out of the office attending the MAKO (Missouri Arkansas KansasOklahoma) Chamber meeting. We also apologize if you tried to call the office last week. When we returned to town we discovered that the storm took out our phones. After a week with very limited phone service, we are finally back up and running.
To wrap up April, the Chamber held a ribbon cutting last Saturday for Aspire Outdoors and this week we will have our Business AfterHours hosted by Serenity, 1015 Hwy 62 West, Thursday the 26th at 5:15p.m. Our Business After Hours are open to all Chamber members their employees and guests.
May will kick off with our First Friday Luncheon hosted by SG360 on May 4th from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at El Chico. The Chamber’s annual golf tournament will be held Friday April 18th at Big Creek Golf & Country Club. We are still in need of sponsors and teams. The tournament is a two-person scramble with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.Registration includes green fee, cart rental, lunch, on course refreshments, prizes and goody bag. As part of the Leadership Mountain Home program, the class must complete a project that positively impacts our community. This year’s class has chosen to do a 5K Fun Run/Walk to raise money for socks and underwear to replenish the school’s closets. The Bare Necessities 5K will be held Saturday May 19th at Cooper Park. Registration forms can be picked up at the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce,Centennial Bank, or 1st Community Bank.
We would like to welcome our newest Chamber members, Warren’s Norfork Lake Grill and VET IQ Petcare. Both will be opening in May.
