In 1991 the Leadership Mountain Home was formed to create well-rounded and community-minded individuals with a common desire to improve the quality of life in the Twin Lakes Area.  Each year, the Chamber offers a class for local professionals to:

  • Learn about the inner workings of city, county, and state government by meeting area leaders.

  • Expand your networking base by meeting community leaders and other business professionals.

  • Gain knowledge of what sustains the quality of life for our area by meeting healthcare professionals, educational leaders, law enforcement officials and more!

  • Be challenged to assist with the needs and opportunities of theTwin Lakes area and the dynamics of its growth.

  • Be exposed to new experiences, challenges and skills that will help and change you on both a professional and personal level.

The Leadership Mountain Home program runs from August to June.  Monthly sessions include: TeamBuilding/Communication, Local History/Tourism, Local Government, Healthcare, Media, State Government/Arkansas History, Local Industry, Local Education and Law Enforcement. The group also completes a group project.
