The topics covered are based on your needs and may include: Self-care skillsFamily involvement and social supportStress and psychological adjustmentNutritionExercise and activity planningMedicationsMonitoring and use of resultsPrevention, detection and treatment of acute and chronic complicationsUse of healthcare systems and community supportDiabetes and pregnancyAdmission to the Program A doctor’s referral is required for admission to the programRoutine follow-up visits are includedReferring doctors are kept informed of their patients’ progressMedicare and some private insurance companies cover program chargesThe Reppell Diabetes Learning Center is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) for Quality Self-Management Education.
