Welcome to the Twin Lakes Literacy Council!
We are a non-profit organization of volunteers working to promote literacy in Baxter County. We provide free one-to-one tutoring to children and adults who need better reading, writing, English or math skills. We also offer classes in the community on pre-GED review, digital (computer) skills, financial literacy, and workplace soft skills. We hope these classes will help adults be comfortable with operating a computer in an online environment, managing their financial health, and learn those soft skills that help you get and keep a good job.
Our mission is to empower and enrich communities through teaching literacy in all its many forms. How can I sign up for tutoring or to volunteer?
Call the TLLC office at 870-425-7323. We will evaluate you and your needs and set you up with a volunteer who can help you.
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tutoring may happen outside these hours in a public place.
Please understand that we have a limited number of tutors. If one is not available, you will be put on a waiting list.
We look forward to hearing from you!
