The Moose Riders of Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will host their annual “Blessing of the Bikes” this coming Saturday, May 17. The area event, now in its eleventh year, closely coincides with a similar event held at Mooseheart, the organization’s “child city” located near Aurora, Illinois 40 miles west of Chicago. The event, to be held at the Moose Lodge located on Hwy 5 approximately 2 miles south of the bypass, will include a motorcycle poker run, cornhole and pool tournaments, as well as live auction. Kickstands up for the poker run at 9:00, rain or shine. A fundraising pulled pork sandwich lunch will also be available at the Lodge beginning at 1:00 p.m. following the poker run. All proceeds from this fundraising event will go to help local charities with the first $2025 raised going to the children at Mooseheart.
