Volunteer Opportunities

Information Desk Volunteers- Assist visitors and patients with navigating the hospital- delivering information, wheelchair assistance, escorting patients to various departments, flower deliveries. Skills needed are good people skills, great customer services skills, communication skills, phone etiquette skills, ability to push wheels chairs, walking short distances, some computer skills.

Retail setting - receiving donations from community and then processing/cleaning/repairing for resale to raise funds for hospital services. Various duties- Skills needed in warehouse are ability to lift, walking and standing, moving heavy items at times, good customer service skills, good people skills, working with others from all walks of life, organization skills. Sales floor skills needed are - merchandising/display skills, cashier skills, great customer service skills, great phone etiquette

Looking to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill? Come make a positive difference by listening and supporting patient and families. Reading or sitting with patients, prepare meals, write letters, clerical office tasks, check on patients by telephone, community support thru events and health fairs, fundraising, etc.

Veteran Service Organization dedicated to assisting Disabled Veterans and their families in obtaining the care promised and earned. I need volunteer drivers to provide transportation to medical appointments both local and to Little Rock in DAV vans.

Volunteers needed to tutor either children or adults one or two hours a week. A background in education is not necessary. Twin Lakes Literacy Council will provide all necessary training and materials. We will match you with a student that accommodates your schedule. We tutor adults looking to be successful at the Adult Education office as they strive for their GED. We tutor reading, basic math, English as a second language, Citizenship, digital literacy, financial literacy, workplace soft skills literacy, and more. All of our lessons are free to the students.
