Your work will help ensure every child can fully participate and succeed in the classroom. Ability to plan maintenance schedules for properties, buildings, and systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports, logs, and inventory. Roles & Responsibilities:• Develop and implement Maintenance and Safety Inspection Plans.• Evaluate and monitor systems and facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.• Perform maintenance and repairs that do not require a specialized technician in the following areas: electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, and painting. Work may also include but is not limited to general maintenance (changing light bulbs, hanging shelves, cleaning gutters, etc.), minor repairs (roof, deck, floor, ceiling tiles, plumbing, etc.), power washing, lawn care, maintaining playgrounds in accordance with HeadStart Standards, winterizing locations, parking lot maintenance, transporting furniture and other items, etc.• Schedule Work Orders and complete them within the priority timeframe and in compliance with grant, legal, and safety regulations.• Respond to emergency calls and take appropriate and timely action.• Draft, design, and create Work Orders for small, medium and large-scale construction projects, soliciting estimates and/or professional services as needed, following Ozark Opportunities, Inc. policies for service procurement, and vetting all service providers to ensure ability, licensing, and insurance requirements are met.• Schedule and track the following annually (ensuring completion and passing inspection), including but not limited to: site safety inspection, fire suppression systems maintenance and inspection, septic system maintenance, pest control services, and classroom camera systems cleaning and maintenance.• Maintain supplies and equipment necessary to fulfill job duties. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring equipment is clean and safe. Equipment may include but is not limited to: assigned vehicle, trailer, mower, compressor, tools, etc.• Communicate effectively with others, including collaborating with the Licensing and Facilities Supervisor to discuss upcoming work assignments, communicating progress and issues, and liaising and communicating with other staff, customers, suppliers, and service providers.• Monitor maintenance costs and take steps to ensure efficiency.• Attend meetings, trainings, and webinars as requested.• Other duties as assigned. Eligible candidates must have an active and unhindered Driver’s License with personal reliable transportation, a high school diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements: The physical demands include frequent driving within the service area with occasional out-of-area functions/training. Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, pushing, pulling, and reaching to access different areas of properties, buildings, machinery, and equipment for inspection and repair. Clear vision to inspect and identify potential issues. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to use tools and operate machinery.
