As well as promoting the involvement of the families of children in the assigned program and center. This position is 10 months in a year, furloughed during Spring Break week, summer break, Thanksgiving break, and Christmas break. Furloughed employees are able and encouraged to draw unemployment during these times. The starting wage is $12.50/hour. Roles & Responsibilities:Assist the Team in carrying out the daily lesson plan and appropriate center activities.Provides supervision and instruction to up to 8 children per assigned classroom.May assist with observation of child(ren) behaviors and developmental goals, requesting assistance from Child Development Staff as needed to meet each need.Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment and provide for children’s feeling of security away from home.Work closely with Nutrition Specialists & Coordinators to ensure healthy practices.Mandated reporter of suspected cases of Child Abuse and Neglect.
