Welcome to Sea Comforts Spa!
My name is Kathryn (Kathy) Johnson and I am a member of the Salt Therapy Association. This allows me to follow up on articles on how salt therapy helps. I also attend at least one salt therapy convention a year to stay up to date on the available new products that complement this holistic environment. I look forward to bringing more options as I get settled in.
I discovered the benefits of salt rooms and suites while on a cruise. Having asthma myself and my great reluctance to use steroid-based inhalers I decided to bring Halotherapy to the area, so Sea Comforts Spa was born in June 2024.
Sea Comforts Spa offers a Halotherapy (salt) Wellness Suite which allows you to relax and unwind. Once inside our wellness suite you will have the option to sit in silence or have some music or nature sounds of your choice. The suite seats up to 4 people at a time so bringing friends is encouraged! Wear comfortable clothing so you can fully relax for your session.
Halotherapy has been used to treat upper and lower respiratory conditions such as cold and flu, allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, COPD, sinus infection, sinusitis, hay fever, and emphysema. The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of halotherapy have been shown to help with the treatment of ear infections and conditions of the skin such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis by supporting the skin’s water balance and function. Regular salt therapy, at least twice per week, can help your body make more natural antihistamines. Salt is a natural expectorant that cleans your lungs, is also known for stress reduction, and is a headache reliever with properties to increase energy and promote healthy sleep patterns.
Salt Therapy is a great addition to your wellness and self-care program. We will also be carrying salt and mud bars along with other natural healing products to add to your routine.
Disclaimer: Halotherapy is recognized as a safe and effective wellness practice for preventive and restoration health care. It is not a medical treatment and does not offer a cure. It is not recommended for people with contagious diseases, fever, open wounds, or certain types of lung cancer.
