Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Lunch & LearnThe Schliemann Center for Women’s Health will host a Lunch & Learn on Blood Flow Restriction Therapy on Thursday, July 16th at 12:15 pm. (BFR) therapy is a rehabilitation technique that uses a specialized cuff placed around the upper arm or leg to partially restrict blood flow during low-intensity exercise. By limiting blood return while maintaining blood flow, BFR can stimulate muscle growth, strength gains, and functional improvement similar to those achieved with heavier resistance training, but with much lighter loads. This makes it particularly valuable for people recovering from injury or surgery or older adults. Speaker is Bruce Welborn. To register, call Darby Mccann, coordinator 870-508-2345. Or dmccann@baxterregional.org.
