Dry Needling Therapy Lunch & LearnThe Schliemann Center for Women’s Health will host a Lunch & Learn on Dry Needling Therapy on Tuesday, August 18th at 12:15 pm. Dry Needling is a therapeutic technique used by physical therapists to treat muscle pain and movement dysfunction. It involves inserting very thin, solid needles directly into tight, knotted areas of muscle, known as trigger points, to release tension, reduce pain, and improve range of motion. Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is grounded in Western anatomy and physiology, targeting specific muscles and neuromuscular points. Many people find it helpful for conditions like chronic neck or back pain, sports injuries, or postural strain. The speaker is Aaron Estes, PT.
