The ASUMH Pipeline to Advanced Manufacturing is offering an introductory industrial sewing with employment and life skills class. The training will take place October 22-24 and is geared for any adult interested in learning in-demand job skills for manufacturing careers.The morning class sessions will cover employment skills such as job searching, resume building, and interviewing, as well as life skills such as emotional, financial, and social resource building, communication, and goal setting. Class materials are provided. Students will break for lunch each day. Morning classes will be held in the Ozark Regional Arts Council Conference room on the 2nd floor in the Vada Sheid Community Development Center, on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. The afternoon industrial sewing sessions will be taught by Rebecca Porterfield and Helen Hicks at ASUMH’s Industrial Training Center (room 7) located in Pinkston Middle School.
